Wenge and Zebra Wood Frame with ‘Luminous Noir’ Mourning Dove Brood & Tiger Eye Stone Sculpture

$275.00

Our beautiful frame is painstakingly handcrafted from a striking combination of wenge and zebra wood, creating a unique two-toned effect that adds depth and distinction to any display. Nestled within is our original photograph of an adult mourning dove with two newly hatched chicks. Mourning doves mate for life, with both parents sharing in nest-building and the care of their young—this could be mama or papa!

Accompanying the photograph is a handcrafted nest made from the same materials our mourning doves use. These natural elements go through a careful sterilization and preservation process before being formed, painted, and delicately bejeweled. The nest is cradled by a Tiger Eye stone sculpture, its warm, golden hues adding a gentle radiance that mirrors the devotion captured in this scene.

Our frames come with a copper hanging wire for wall display and include an elegantly crafted frame stand for versatility. Each Zephyr Frame arrives in our Zephyr Keepsake Box (fondly referred to as the ‘Nordie Box’ by Maria, in a nod to her days as a Nordstrom Personal Shopper). No additional gift-wrapping options are available. Please visit the image gallery to see an example of our keepsake box!

At Zephyr Faith Crafts, we honor the beauty and authenticity of nature in every piece we create. Our handmade wooden frames house not only our original photography of mourning doves and their young but also meticulously crafted nests resting on semi-precious stone sculptures. These nests, made from the same natural materials used by the doves themselves, undergo a rigorous sterilization and preservation process before being hand-painted and adorned. To preserve the essence of the natural materials, you may notice small bits of delicate nest debris on the floor or plexiglass (see photo) of the frame. This is a natural occurrence, reflecting the organic quality of the materials we work with and the story they carry. Our creations are crafted with care, not by machines, but by our own hands, ensuring each frame is as unique and genuine as the doves that inspire us.
